Dr. Lata K. McGinn will provide a status update on Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder to help professionals maximize treatment gains for patients who are often hard to treat. About Dr. Lata K. McGinn

Dr. McGinn is Associate Professor of Psychology, Director of the Doctoral Clinical Program, and Director of the University-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy Program for Anxiety and Depressive Disorders at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is also co-founder of Cognitive Behavioral Consultants (CBC), a group practice located in Manhattan and White Plains, New York. Dr. McGinn specializes in anxiety and mood disorders and has authored numerous articles and chapters including two books titled “Treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder” and “Treatment Plans and Interventions for Depression and Anxiety Disorders.” Dr. McGinn is President of the International Association of Cognitive Therapy and is on the board of directors of the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She is a founding fellow and Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and was appointed a Beck Institute Scholar in recognition of her contributions to the field of cognitive therapy. She is also associate editor of the journal Cognitive Therapy and Research, is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Cognitive Therapy and on the advisory board of the Journal of Cognitive Behavior Psychotherapy. She also serves on Division 12, APA’s taskforce on Evidence-Based Doctoral Training.
