Meet the NYC-CBT Leadership Team.
President
Lindsay Tulchin, Ph.D.
It is an honor to be writing this as the incoming president of the NYC-CBT. I love this community and I’m proud of how we have navigated the challenges faced over the past several years, as well as how we’ve taken advantage of creating new opportunities for learning and collaboration. As we look to the future, I am reminded of the profound impact that CBT has on our communities. The work we do is not just a profession but a calling—a commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those we help.
I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our outgoing president, Anna Edwards, whose leadership and dedication have been exemplary. She has paved the way for significant progress within our association and has been an inspiration for us all. Our mission as an association is to advance the practice of CBT, support our members, and promote the importance of mental health in our society. In the coming term, I am eager to focus on the following key areas:
Enhancing Professional Development: We will continue to offer cutting-edge training and resources, ensuring that our members have access to the latest research and techniques in CBT. Lifelong learning is crucial in our field, and I am committed to providing opportunities for growth and development.
Strengthening Community Engagement: It is essential that we deepen our connections within the community and raise awareness about the benefits of CBT. Through outreach programs and networking events, we can hope to engage new members, including students, and foster deeper connections amongst current members.
Neither of these goals can be achieved without your active participation and support. Each of you brings unique skills, perspectives, and experiences to our association, and it is through our collective efforts that we will continue to thrive and make a lasting difference.
As we move forward, I encourage each of you to stay engaged, share your ideas, and get involved. Together, we can build on the strong foundation that has been established and continue to advance the practice and understanding of CBT. I look forward to collaborating with you all and achieving great things together in the years ahead.
